Obamacare And The Health Care Summit
This video shows Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) explain to the assembled Health Care Summit attendees what doesn’t add up in the Senate-passed Health Care Bill. This bill, much of which makes up the bulk of President Obama’s grand-compromise-proposal, would have to be passed as is by the House of Representatives for the Democrats to do what they are threatening to do — Substantially change what the Senate passed, make it closer to the proposed House bill, and then use reconciliation in the Senate to pass the most sweeping, expensive, takeover of 1/6th of the nation’s economy by a 51% simple majority vote. Normally 60 votes are required to bring a bill out of committee to the floor for a vote of the full Senate. Smoke and mirrors as Ryan calls it.
