Speak Up
Here’s your chance. When you read something in the morning paper, or online, or are disturbed by something you heard from a politician on a morning show, click on the Speak Up page and send an e-mail instantly as a member of The Kitchen Cabinet, or call to make your voice heard in the office of a U.S. Senator or Congressman. Scroll through the White House page as well. There are dozens of offices and departments and staffers whose names are posted. All of the White House contact numbers and e-mails are available, and heaven knows we are paying the staffers who log the mail and phone calls.
Let’s help them earn their salaries.
Political polls are influential in the corridors of the Capitol and The White House, but there is nothing quite as effective as an avalanche of personal calls, letters and electronic feedback. The Kitchen Cabinet will also “poll” the Cabinet and personally request audiences with, and answers from, our nationally-elected officials. As we grow, we will nominate leaders of conservative women’s groups around the country to speak with unity as “Secretaries of the Cabinet.”
Washington needs the benefit of the wisdom of women, our civility, and our compassion, on issues of the day.
